eddy’s Burgers has finally made its debut in the Philippines last month, giving Filipinos more options in high-quality gourmet burgers that go beyond the typical fast food variety.
Founded in 1998 in Hawaii, Teddy’s Burgers now has 13 (soon 15) stores in the US, and two in Asia (Japan and the Philippines). Here are 8 things that customers can look forward to at the first franchise at Greenbelt 3 in Makati.

The place is dotted with unique features like surf boards, sleek lamps, and wood details. The mood lighting is a great touch, too—a great place to out with friends or family, and feels like a perfect place for some quality HOHOL!

The Teddy’s Burgers team knows that Filipinos still want the Pinoy flavor in their food. Some of the items that will make you feel like home include the Tiki Wings, Chicken Tenders, and the Loco Moco–a burger patty served on top of rice with fried egg and gravy.

The Original Burgers are complemented by the sweet and tangy “Special Sauce,” the Teri Burger is basted with a sweet teriyaki sauce made from scratch, and the “Western Burger” is topped with barbecue sauce.

Teddy’s Burgers are served with sides like thick-cut fries (crispy on the outside and soft in the inside!), tots with sauces like cheese and garlic butter, and beer-battered onion rings.
Teddy’s Burger’s milkshakes are the real deal—they’re made of 90% ice cream and 10% milk! Flavors include Chocolate, Vanilla, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Rootbeer, Dreamsicle, and Pineapple.
No alcoholic drink was served in the opening, but Teddy’s Burgers Philippines Executive Chef Kirsten Habawel said that they will soon be offering local and imported beers, as well as cocktails crafted specifically for the restaurant.

Teddy’s Burgers potato buns have a subtle sweetness that brings out the smoky and savory flavors of the juicy patties.
The buns are locally sourced. It actually took Teddy’s Philippine team 30 trials before they got it right (they needed to source locally, because bread has a short shelf life). According to Chef Habawel, they kept on sending the buns back to the US until they approved it!

Teddy’s Burgers serves 100% corn fed US Black Angus ground chuck shipped regularly from the US.
Pattied daily and charbroiled to order, these burgers have no fillers or preservatives. They serve three sizes: Big (5oz), Bigger (7oz), and Biggest (9oz). Not big enough for you? They also have double patties (“Monster Doubles”) that can go up to 10oz, 14oz, and 18oz. Needless to say, Ron Swanson will be proud!
Customers can customize the burgers—for example, you can use lettuce instead of bread as buns. Toppings such as bacon, blue cheese, jalapenos, onion rings, and pastrami are also available.
